Paul Williamson

Paul Williamson began teaching AP biology in 1969 and was in the first group of College Board AP workshop consultants.
- He served as a reader and table leader for the free response portion of the AP biology exam and was also a member of the AP biology national test development committee.
- From 1982-1998 Paul was director of the Advanced Placement Program for the College Board's Southwestern Regional Office in Austin. During this period he developed the Pre-AP program, re-designed College Board teacher training, greatly expanded AP summer institute offerings, helped secure state funding for AP and pre-AP teacher training in four states, created an AP recognition awards program for outstanding teachers and administrators, directed the development and publication of the first guide for AP vertical teams, and assisted the O'Donnell Foundation with the development of incentive programs for schools in Dallas ISD and other school districts in the Dallas area.
- He worked for the O'Donnell Foundation from 1998-2000 as Director of Academic Programs and then retired to the mountains of Georgia.
- Paul served as a Visiting Scholar at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington D.C. before returning to Dallas in 2007 to the position of Chief Operating Officer for APS.
