June Harmon
Mathematics Coordinator

  • June Harmon joined Advanced Placement Strategies™ in 2007. She worked as AP® Math Lead Teacher for the Dallas Independent School District for seven years and also served as the Interim Executive Director for Advanced Academic Services.
  • She has over 25 years of experience as a high school teacher of mathematics, department chair, and vertical team leader for schools in Dallas ISD, Nashville, TN, and Fort Worth, TX .
  • While teaching AP Calculus at Warren Travis White High School, her program led the district in the number of students taking and passing the AP Calculus exam at a DISD comprehensive high school. In addition, the school received the College Board Inspiration Award (2003) and the ING School of Excellence Award (2005).
  • June has conducted teacher training sessions in both mathematics and talented and gifted. She has extensive experience organizing and conducting student prep sessions for AP Calculus.
  • June earned a Bachelor's Degree in mathematics from Baylor University and completed graduate hours in mathematics and mathematics education from Texas Christian University and Dallas Baptist University .
