Advanced Placement Strategies™, Inc. (APS) is a non-profit corporation that works with Texas schools and the private sector to maximize the number of students passing Advanced Placement™ exams by planning, implementing, and managing Pre-AP® and AP Incentive Programs™ within the state of Texas.

Debra McIntire
English Director

  • Debra came to AP Strategies™ after twenty-two years as an English instructor at Yukon High School in Yukon, OK. 
  • She served as English Department Chair and lead teacher for the English Vertical Team®'s efforts at curriculum alignment.
  • She was named Yukon Public Schools' 1998 Teacher of the Year.
  • She is a presenter for Building Success and Setting the Cornerstones, two-day programs of the College Board.
  • She is trained as a consultant for the Southwest Region, and she began making presentations at one and two-day conferences in Texas and Oklahoma in 1998.
  • Debra has served as a reader for the AP Literature and Composition Exam since 1996.
  • She has served as a lead consultant in AP Literature at AP Summer Institutes for Rice University, SMU, the University of Oklahoma, and Tulsa University.
