In this painting, I wanted to capture myself with the use of realism, which is my preferred style. I used the numbers 87/06, my birth and graduation years, because they are important to me and represent my time on Earth. Earth tones on both the numbers and portrait were used so that one part of the painting would not take over the other, but merge together as a whole.
