I enjoyed creating this piece because it appealed to me both technically and aesthetically. Because this was the first time I had used colored pencil on such a scale, I tried to push the limits of the medium in terms of photo realism. Most of all, I was attracted by the surrealistic subject of the piece and the strong compositional statement it makes on paper.
