Adrienne Longenecker, CFRE

Chief Development Officer

In June 2011, Adrienne became the Chief Development Officer for Advanced Placement Strategies™, Inc.

Adrienne’s career in fundraising, marketing and business development began more than 15 years ago when, in addition to teaching choreographing and performing, she joined the Roanoke Ballet Theatre of Roanoke, VA as their Marketing Coordinator. Several years later, in order to move closer to Austin (her hometown), Adrienne joined the for-profit sector as the Marketing Director for Turner Engineers, Inc. of Dallas, TX. During her tenure, Turner Engineers, Inc., successfully opened two satellite offices. In 2003, she returned to Austin and the non-profit sector when she joined the Capital Area Food Bank team.

Adrienne attended public school in Austin and earned her bachelor of fine arts from the University of Texas. In 2009 she earned the standing of Certified Fund Raising Professional (CFRE), an internationally recognized title indicating successful career advancement, professional knowledge and ethical leadership within the profession.

Adrienne was nationally recognized as an fundraising innovator with the 2007 Feeding America Innovative Program Award, locally recognized by Greenlights with the 2005 Nonny Award for Fundraising Excellence and as an outstanding young leader as a 2008 Austin Under 40 Finalist in the Community Service category. Additionally in 2009, the Capital Area Food Bank received a Greater Austin Chamber Business Award for Community Relations honoring the work of Adrienne and the departments she lead at Food Bank.

Adrienne is honored to be a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Awards Chair for the Association of Fundraising Professional’s 2012 Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon, the Chair of Leadership Austin’s 2012 fasforward Issues Forum and an active member of the Leadership Austin Board of Directors.

Her most important role is a loving mother to a wonderful 5 and a half year old boy, Vance Mader.
